Should I send the validation letters to all the companies?

I have sent a debt validation letter to a collection agency in Midfield, Alabama. The debts are for Sherman Companies. I have Googled this company. There are so many companies under this name. I'm totally confused. What should I do in this situation? Should I send validation letters to all the companies?
One copy certified mail is
One copy certified mail is sufficient. Have you received mail from them?? Any communication? Is the debt still within SOL?
