Hi and welcome!
The first thing you do is this: ANSWER THE SUMMONS. GO TO THE MEDIATION. If you don't, you run the strong risk of a judgement going against you by default.
Second: Is this your debt? Do you owe this money? If you do, negotiate a payment plan with the judge that you can live with. Explain that you are on Social Security as your sole income and paying lots on this debt is a hardship.
If you don't owe this debt, bring in evidence that proves this.

Also don't worry. Even if you get a judgement that you can't handle because the lawyer was ruthless or you have a cold-hearted judge...remember that disability can't be touched. I don't advocate not paying, but you can't get water from a stone and even if you get a judgement you can't handle, just make payments you can handle..there is nothing they can do to take that disability money from you.
Update Pre-Trial Disability.
The Creditor is Palisades Collections on behalf of Heritage One Bank. In the summons they state that the account was opened in 2006 and the last payment was in 2009. I do not remember this account. But can they show up with proof that its mine somehow if I state "I don't remember" which I don't. Also what should I bring to the pre-trial hearing? There is no way for me to afford any type of payment arangement. My Social Security isn't enough to cover my monthly expenses that I usually have to take a Payday loan to survive the month and pay it back when my social security gets deposited. Thank you for your help because I am so lost.
