I am in the process of attempting to purchase a new car and found 3 items from Palisades. My first reaction was to swallow my pride and pay them, but I am now scared that paying them won't accomplish anything. Assuming I settle with them, what can I do to get some sort of validation out of it? I am short on time due to the fact the auto loan expires in less than 30 days. ANy advice?

Well if you are pressed for time, you can do a combo dispute. Send dv letter to collector. Once they receive it,do a dispute with the credit bureaus. If they verify tradeline before they have provided validation of the debt, they just broke the law.Use the fdcpa violatons to force a delete.Another option that I am unsure of is to ask lender if rapid rescore is available for your loan. It would ignore the disputed debt and get you into your vehicle.
