Chase Settlements - Recent?

Has anyone recently settled with Chase? I've read some Chase settlements here but not recent ones. I'm heading into it and need some reassurance that I can do it. I'm 4 mos late on $30k. Thank you.


I got a Chase settlement about a month and a half ago, at 20%. My original debt was around $10,000. It had gone to a collector, then back to Chase. My settlement company did the negotiating, I didn't even talk to them. Just got an email one day, that it was settled and I needed to sign the agreement.

I made my last payments in April 2008. The $2725 account was settled in Sept (when I was in a debt settlement program) and the $3,015 account was settled in January (on my own).

The one in Jan I broke up into 3 payments. $1,100 in Jan, $204 last month and $204 this month.

I had offered $1,100 lump sum but they didn't accept that. They then agreed to $1508 (50%) but gave me the two extra months to pay difference.
