I have old debts from 1965 and I am now on social security, no other income or savings. If sued can I keep my furniture and belongings> it is all I have or ever will have I am 64.
What are the exemptions and things in Ohio.
Can I sign something like a statement of indigence< I dont know what that is? I rent an apartment.

Sounds to me like you got a Collection Agency blowing hot air weather 1965 or 1995, these debts are way out of SOL, they won't even be on your credit report (at least they shouldn't be). If someone is threatening to take you to court, tell them that they are breaking the law because they can't sue on 10+ year old debts. (unless these were child support or other government related debts).

As long as the last activity on the debt is past the SoL expiration date then you can't be sued unless it would be something like goldenblast states, a government debt or child support. Even then I don't believe they can touch SSI or disability but it won't exclude any retirement pay.

My suggestion would be to review you state laws and also send a debt validation letter to the agency currently handeling this file.
