Soc Sec direct deposit options

In March 2013 social security checks are going completely direct deposit. I am very worried how to receive my money safely if its not an option to have a checking account or putting the money into a prepaid debit card. I do not have any other income. The problem is a judgement against my checking and if I filed bankruptcy I would lose my car. Also not an option. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

Its been told to me once the money is in your account is only considered money at that point and can be frozen or garnished. It is possible to go to court to recover it but I don't wish to go through that. Am still seeking options if anyone has any ideas. Thanks!
