I live in Indiana and was wondering what the SOL is for accounts like old utility bills, and credit cards. I am divorced and there is still things on my credit report still showing owed from 2003. Is the SOL is good

Seems the SOL for Indiana is 6 years for open account and written contract. So- basically 6 years for just about everything (except judgements). So anything from 2003 should be SOL in 2009. It should be off your credit reports in 2010.

Check and see if Indiana has incorporated the UCC into state statutes. Utilities are generally covered under the UCC SOL of 4 years. Reporting period would still be 7 years + 180 days from date of first default
