I received a letter from this company stating that they have in the past attenpted to contact me regarding this so called credit card debt. When i ran through my credit report I had one account assigned to them from 2002 with no activity since then, according to the statutes in florida the SOL is 4 years for open accounts and 5 for written contracts, under which do credit cards fall under? for this account the last activity was 2002.
To make it more intersting the account that they are reffering to in their letter goes back to 1999 , with no activity in the credit report since, charge off since 2002, but in their letter they state last transaction date as 2002- what transaction ?
What should I do?

This is the info I have 1999 revolving, charge off 2002
written off ,not showing any pmnt history - what is my next course of action? Thanks ArDen

What do you send first to the collection agency?
The validation letter or SOL letter.
Appreciate suggestions, thoughts regarding this matter.
Thank you.
