Hi Everyone,

Newbie here and I'm looking for some advice/assistance please.

I have debts that range from 6 to 9 years old. I have not made any payments, contact, anything... with these companies. They have started to call again and I am now at the point where I can accept mistakes and move forward. I want to get these things taken care of.

So my question is, what do I do?

I know that I can/need to send out SOL letters to the companies that contact me, but how do I get rid of this debt and stop them from calling me? I also have a 'Process Server", I believe calling me, leaving tricky messages.

I just don't even know where to begin. Any help and advice would be sincerely appreciated.

Thank you :)

If it's credit card accounts, SOL in CA is 4 years from what I researched. It seems like the accounts are a few years outside the SOL. I would send out SOL letters to the CA's trying to collect ASP. That will make most of the debt issues if not all of them disappear for good :)

Good Luck!

Thanks BD85 :)

So, I just got my free credit report to see everything that was still open. Should I send letters to all of those companies? The company that calls me regularly is CRS Inc... and then I have someone names "James Douglas" calling, but I have no idea how to get there info, he yells at me when I asked for his contact information.

Any tips?

Also, I see some of my old debts are "closed" does that mean they do not affect my credit anymore?

Thank you :)
