Ever since I've come to this forum I've been given access to all types of informational material as well as the sound advice of a lot of nice people. I want to give my personal thanks to all those who help others on this forum, including the mod's who are so educated in matters both in regard to collections and consumer protection law. (Especially Law student, Ang, Golden Bast, and FYI)

What you people do are very helpful to the people that come here for help.

Thanks to all of you

JCEMT

Hi...I had my real name on here for awhile and had to change it, too. You can go to the edit profile option at the top of the page and change it to something different. Welcome. :-) I'm glad you have gotten help here. It is a great site. I was a mess before I joined and now I come here almost everyday. There is a great source of support here.

Im still very new myself. I found this place while doing research and someone suggested it to me. I figure since I need help I should offer whatever help I can in return! Besides, I'm on a quest to stamp out the abusive practices of CA's as they put me through the ringer back when I was young and didn't know any better!!

I know all to well some of the abuse that consumers are put through when it comes to some of the CA's out there. I will be going back to college soon for pre law. Once I am finished with law school I want to focus on consumer protection, I look forward to opening my own practice so that I can charge clients modest fees so that they don't have to go back into debt in order to get help.

Well, there's always FASA as well as scholarships, grants, and non repayable loans. If you do a google search for it you can easily find info, even search engines where you enter your criteria and it shows you all relevant results.

One way you could really help consumers when you become an lawyer is instead of charging a modest fee, just take a small percentage of the winnings...with so many people becoming more aware of their rights and the fact they can fight back...you would be very busy and make a tidy profit to boot!

Well it's funny how ironic life is... my daughter 19 almost 20 is in college now in criminal justice... She's working on her undergraduate degree to go to law school so the other day we were talking and i was questioning her on what she wud be interested in... now keep in mind she knows nothing of what i've been thru, i didn't feel the need to worry the kids with it, it's not their problem but anyway she tells me she's interested in consumer law! ha ha ha
Now how ironic is that?!?!
:D
