spellman and roman---i have never received anything in writing. they called my parents and threatened me, so i paid $265 of the $700 they said i owed. this debt is not even on my credit. today, when she called me, i told her that i paid them, that they have been harassing me and that it is illegal for them to call my parents and to continue to call me and that i filed a complaint with the ftc. she told me that my whereabouts would be verified and then i would be picked up?!--do i have anything to worry about?

Can s/he still request validation even though s/he acknowledged the debt by making a payment? I'm just curious, for my own clarification.
Rachq, you can't go to jail for an unpaid debt. I assume that's what they were threatening by saying they would pick you up!
