If the debt is truely not hers,file a id theft police report and send copies to the original creditor,collector,and all three credit bureaus. Once they receive you can tell them to go pis* up a rope as it is not her debt. :lol:

I forgot to mention that I called Sprint collections department and they searched their records using her social security number and they did not find any account with her number on it.

Sounds like a bad skip trace. They may have the wrong person. Send the debt validation letter as I suggested.

It's strange sometimes how the last four of your social can actualy match someone elses. I've had it happen just once when skiptracing and oddly enough it was the same name but spelled differently.

Did you pull all three credit reports? While a collection agency may report to one they may not report to the other two. I suggest going to annualcreditreport and getting all three.

I checked all three credit reports and it is not there. By them having the last four digits does this mean they have the entire Social Security number? I will go ahead and send the letter. Is there a template that I can use?
