I am being sued by a business for non-payment of account, I have made 3 payments after suit was filed that have been accepted by business.
Does receipt of my payments have any bearing on lawsuit of non-payment?

Nope. The creditor has every right to sue you once you default
Nope. The creditor has every right to sue you once you default regardless of any payments being made. Respond to the summons and show up in court.
