sued by capital one. bank acct levied

Hi there. Hope someone can lend a hand.
I was sued last year by capital one, due to unforseen circumstances, i did not open the envelope containing the summons that I signed for at the post office, so when I got back from taking care of the emergency I had to pull stakes for, It became clear that i was being sued, nd judgment was defaulted to cap noe for my failure to appear on the court date.
Unfortunately, my father who hasnt had a bank acct in years, needed access to one for the customer he was working for to deposit payment into. so they used mine. oops. all 750 dollars were levied by cap one's collectors. It was such a small debt too, 400 dollars. However hard times had befell me the previous winter and I became homeless and jobless therefore unable to pay anything to cap one. Surprisingly, even though I have had the card for 7 years, was always on time or early with payments (they never raised my limit beyond 400 either...curious..) they were frankly just not willing to work with me AT ALL. so months went by, credit dried up and fines expounded. the judgement was for 1200 dollars.
I now get occassional letters from the collection agency whom i assume bought the debt saying i owe 400 some odd bucks still.
my question is, if I open another acct at a different bank, do you think they will be notified of available monies, and once again levy the funds? its such a ridiculous scam! argh. anyway, thank you for any thoughts!

You will have trouble opening another bank account to begin with
You will have trouble opening another bank account to begin with, given that you have a judgement against you already.
