I am being sued for dental work that I refused to finish paying after I complained about the bridge I was given. As a result, I have received a letter at my doorstep "Summons" to be in court in Mid May. My question is will they serve me at work too? I was not at home but did receive the paperwork from Justice Court where the attorney for the dentist filed it. I have NOT contacted anyone about this. I don't want to be served at work over 2000 dollars!

Any ideas?

Thank You

I have paid them over half the money for the bridge about $3000 but I stopped paying them when they would not correct the issue.

As a result they sent to a collection agency and I sent the collection agency and the attorney a copy of the letter I sent to the dentist office. I don't mind going to court. I'm looking forward to telling the judge my complaint with the dental work.

I just don't want to be served before May 15th at work because It would be hard to explain and not look good. Should I call the dentists lawyer? Tell him I got the paperwork? I am scared they would send there and I don't want that. It's been over 2 weeks since I got the summons and paperwork from the Justice court.

As I said before, if you have received the summons, you have already been served.

Have you reviewed your contract for your dental services? DId you put your complaint to the dentist in writing?? Have you gotten a second opinion from another dentist?? The judge will not rule in you favor unless you can back up your claim.

There was no contract an I didn't sign anything. Yes. I sent them a letter of complaint that I forwarded to all parties once it went to collections and to an attorney. I have already scheduled a appointment for a second opinion this week. My concern was the job but I believe I can rest now about that. Thank You. Now I just have to get this off my credit because they are in the wrong and the bridge was not my choice. I went in and basically got screwed by the dentist and after complaining made out to be the "bad guy" so to speak.

I have the $2100 to pay them now but I'm not doing that unless the judge rules in their favor. I have records where I called my dental insurance about the complaint. I should have filed a complaint with the ADA but I didn't.

Thanks for the advice. I can sleep better now I think. :)
