hospital authority summons

Not with out more details. Is this a county hospital? Is the hospital or the county suing? What state do you live in? How long ago was the bill incurred?

Due to a hospital stay in March of this year. Thank god for insurance, even after they paid the hospital, Carolinas Medical Center, I have a balance of over 3000 dollars, this doesn't include the doctor, xrays, and so fourth. Between March and May of this year, my medical bills total over $6000. and that after insurance process and paid. Thanks for any help or advise you can give.

have you tried contacting the hospital and telling them your situation, most will work with you but you have to be proactive.

Yes, but this did not help. Will this go on my record when it goes to court? I don't have the $3000 dollars before going to court on the 19th of Nov. I know they will take the payments but does this stay on my credit report or can they take my income tax refund (if i get one)?

If they are awarded a judgement, then yes, you will have a public record. Eventually it will make it to your credit report as well. Are you subject to state income tax? If so, then any refund would go to offset the judgement if it is allowable in your state.
