Two weeks ago I received a summons in the mail from Zwicker. I already had a settlement with them from corporate and monthly payments were going to automatically be with drawn from my account. I filed my "answer" the next day. At the same time, my first payment was posted as "pending." Yesterday, I recieved another copy of the summons affixed to my front door. Do I need to file another "answer?"

I had a call from someone at Zwicker about a week ago. As collectors go he was fairly polite but of course he did want to collect. I tried telling him the well is dry and you can't get blood from a turnip. He wouldn't listen so eventually I just hung up.

What else are you going to do when you try telling someone you can't pay them, no money, what don't they get?

anyway, like i said, as far as collectors go they seem more civil but they just can't accept my honest answer.

The answer I received from Corporate was that it was a time problem. Branch office, where the summons was filed, also agreed that a settlement was reached. They told me to file an "answer" anyway. I received the summons in the mail on Sat., Jan 22nd. Called both Corporate and branch on Mon, Jan 24th. Then went to see the County clerk. She sent me to cc and I filed the answer and mailed a copy to the branch that same day. Friday's summons was affixed to my door. Do I need to go and file another answer? Really stressing

My summons was mailed to me and I contacted Corporate and they agreed that a settlement was reached. They told me to contact the branch that filed the suit. I did and they also said a settlement was reached but it was a "timing" issue. I responded with the "answer" and just received another copy of the summons, this time affixed to my door. Do I need to write another "answer?'
