I just wrote a debt validation request to Suttell and Associates, I have a question about them and hope someone can answer me.

1. Do they usually validate or do the sell off or drop the collection action there requests to validate?

I ask this as I live in Washington State and can not find where they are licensed anyplace. I do know that they have a very bad reputation and just wondering how far i can push. They did and inquiry on my credit report over a year ago and just this month I hearing from them. The capital one account was for a credit limit of 2000. They (Suttell and Associates) are looking for a full payment of 3277.99. So looks to me like the waited all this time to pump up interest rates and other charges.
Any advice you can give me would be appreciated!

Until you receive validation, I would not worry about them. If they cannot validate, then they will probably sell the account.
How old is the debt (date of last payment)? Did you send the DV CMRRR? If so, then keep a log of any contact they make until they validate. They are not allowed any collection activity until they properly validate the debt. Whatever you do, don't give them anything without a written agreement, and do not give them your bank account information.
