I have a debt with Capital One and they sent it to Nelson Watson and Associates. My husband made 2 settlement offers to them and they did not respond back. Now I got a letter from an Attorneys office in my state DEMANDING full payment, if they don't get it they will sue me.

What should I do? Should I get an attorney?

Sounds like Cap One placed (not sold) it specifically to an attorney in your state in preparation for litigation. This is typical of Capital One...they are very agressive.

Did you call them with settlement requests or write them? Hiring an attorney is expensive and all it will tell Cap One is that you have money to waste. Call them try to settle quickly.
