Hello--
You helped me immensely with payday loan issues (which are now gone, thank you)
I am getting calls for the past 9 months from this place about a gym membrship that I owe money o even though it was not I who was paying for it AND I canceled it and moved.
The few times I did speak to them I demanded written proof (never got, they claimed they sent it) and they threatened to write it off and put it on my credit report. They still call me. Every day. And a few times they tried to call from a local number (703 area code, not 800) to thrown me off.
I found an address for them in CA and sent a cease and desist letter. I never got the return receipt back! I also can't find their address again. I did tell them to stop calling and I sent a cease and desist but they still do it.
I have no idea how much I supposedly owe, but their threats and bullying tactics are too much to deal with.
What should I do now?

File a complaint with the FTC
File a complaint with the FTC or State Attorney General. Simple!

check the address.alot of bottomfeeders,or unethical collectors won't accept certified mail.if that address is good then get an FDCPA contingency lawyer and sue them.ot enough people sue bottomfeeders when they have the goods on them.ig nothing else just ignore them.start hanging up on them.
