neighbors found taped summons on old address door

:cry: Is this legal?? I don't have them in my possession yet but my neighbors called me and told me that the house next door (my old address...moved March 1st) which they just bought had a summons from capital one to call the court within 21 days. Is this legal? I just sent in my change of address to post office and am going to change it on my license in couple days. Any advice??~Angie~

On the one hand, it sounds like they served you at an address they had every reason to believe was valid. On the other hand, taping a summons to your door may not be allowable where you live.
Check your state/county's rules on service of process. Your local Sheriff's office or Court Clerk can probably tell you about them.
