Is RJM allowed to collect in Texas ?

Hi Brian--

RJM is a company that deals in mostly old, outdated debt claims. If you have received a letter from them, you need to dispute everything they say. Send them a written notice of dispute, and tell them that you request that they validate the debt. End it there. Send it certified mail, return receipt requested. Keep a copy of the letter for yourself, and keep the green USPS signature card when it comes in the mail. It has been my experience that they usually just go away once they realize that you wont pay them blindly because they cannot prove much of anything about the debt they are trying to collect.

RJM Acquisitions LLC is a New York based collection agency. But as far as I know, they may collect in Texas as well. Nevertheless, if you receive a call, don't start paying them immediately. You should send them a debt validation letter asking them to validate your debt. Unless they validate your debt, don't pay them a dime.
