received summons and it has on the complaint "subject to mandatory arbitration" what is mandatory arbitration? Is it good or bad?

In a contract, the term mandatory arbitration prevents a conflict from receiving judicial attention. As per the contract, the liability for damages must be determined by the arbitration process before a civil lawsuit can be filed in the court. It is good because, there won't be any lawsuits filed immediately.

Mandatory Arbitration allows you to determine the liability for the damages through arbitration process prior to filing a case in the court. A neutral, third-party arbitrator is selected to look after the matter. The arbitrator will go through all the evidences and then evaluate the arbitration reward amount. If any of the party refuses to accept the arbitration reward, then a case can be filed in the court, with liability to be decided by the esteemed judge.
