anyone ever here of them? Who do they collect for? They keep calling on SS should I tell them this?

APM Financial is a collection agency and is based at Pennsylvania. They mainly collect for Chase. If they are contacting you for any debt account, you can ask them to validate the debt in order to find out whether or not they really own your account. If they cannot validate the debt, then you won't be liable for paying them.

Pulled my husband's credit report and they also sent a letter to us they inflatted the account to over 17000. From what they say it is for Wells Fargo which we don't dispute, but from the credit report the account balance as of 2009 was 12000.00 with a balance owing of 9400.00.
The are not even showing an inquiry which I think is odd, we are filing bankruptcy but sure would like to know if they are the true owners now of the account and how they come up with such a high amount, can I still validate?
