Welcome to the forums!

Usually creditors may garnish your paycheck 6 times. The creditor is also eligible to garnish your paycheck another 6 times till the debt is satisfied completely. However, a creditor can garnish your paycheck only one at a time.

Wage Garnishment Law to Change in N.C. ?

the law regarding wage garnishment in NC may be changing
House Bill 30 has been introduced and is still in the NC House Finance Committee
it has not been passed yet,but if it does,you may be subject to a 15% garnishment of wages,this would apply to judgments after October of 2011
keep an eye on this legislation
