Have you heard of Hp Associates? Do you have any legitimate info on this collection agency? They called and left a message to my moms cell phone which i dont know how they got and left a message to her regarding my account and saying that they have a claim and they need "my side of the story", whatever that means. They said it was urgent i call them back. I believe it is from a payday loan company, I just want to be prepared to talk to them. I also find it suspicious that they call my moms cell phone and not contact me Ive been living on my own for years and am married, so thats odd.

Your mother should ask them to contact you regarding this issue. Once they contact you, ask them to send a debt validation letter to you. If they fail to validate the debt, send a Cease and Desist letter to them via certified mail.
