Morning, i received a summons on the 16th saying I am being sued by Michael J Scott. I have already read enough about him and am ready to put some blood sweat and tears into this.

I need to file my denial letter by Monday. However I am unsure of where I am supposed to file this. I am also unsure if it needs to be written or if i can use their form and circle the answers. Also does it need to be mailed or can it be dropped off?

Next question is it seems i got 2 papers both having the same case number. the 2nd one is the Plantiff's request for admissions. This is the one that has all the accept or deny answers on it. and lists a time of 50 days. The first one is the citation.

Some information i see i can use to support my case is the account number listed only has the last 4 digits. Another tidbit is I live and have lived in a different county. I read about michael j scott's spreadsheet and pay out practices. Would i be better off moving it?

Looking forward to any direct i can get and thanks in advance. Now..back to reading.......

I will call cap one and find out if the account has been sold but I really wish you could offer some more advice instead. My wife has been unemployed for 2 Yeats and we cannot afford much besides the necessities.

Who is the plantiff on the summons? If it is capital one, then that will tell you that the debt has NOT been sold. Cap One rarely sells its accounts.
Scott would simply be suing on behalf of cap one.

Sorry, there is not much more advise that can be given when you are dealing with an assigned account and CAP ONE
