I need some advice as this is my first time being in court. I live in the state of Massachusetts. A credit card that I could no longer pay for was sold to a debt collection agency who then hired a lawyer to take me to small claims court. The debt is about 1,300-1,400. The problem is, I am not currently employed. I don't have money to pay it (if they do win the judgement) here are my questions

1)Would I be considered "Judgement Proof"? I do not have any incoming income, i don't own a home or car. What can they do if you are Judgement Proof?
2)Do bank accounts closed before a judgement/court date have to be reported? I have some money in the bank from unemployment before it ran out and I want to take it out before they try to put a lein on the account.
3)What can they do to enforce the judgement (provided the person does not have money/job to pay?) I've heard stories of having a sheriff come and take away your personal belongings (tv, computer, radio)
4)Is it possible to go to jail for not paying the small claims judgement (if it ends up in their favor)?

Thanks for the help!

There really is no such thing a judgment proof. They can get a judgment against you and wait it out...are you going to return to work? A judgment in MA lasts for 20 years at 10% interest.

What do you mean "reported'?

They do not want your used TV or computer.....they will wait it out.
