I am in CO and have ignored the numerous Summons. As a result, I have a judgement against me and they have frozen my account which made it worse. Now they have garnished my wages which is 25% of my gross less the required taxes. I owe over $15k and am paid less than $31k/year. How long can they garnish my wages and is there anything I can do beside file for bankruptcy? Thank you.
They would continue garnishing your wages till they have enough
They would continue garnishing your wages till they have enough to cover the debt plus interest. If the situation is tough, talk to a bankruptcy attorney.
