Good morning all!

I have a question regarding the SOL laws in Indiana, mainly the "collection of debt accounts" section

Per Indiana Law, it is 6 years - does that mean 6 years from date of service (mostly medical bills) or 6 years from when the C/A took over the account?

Thanks!

Thanks!

I was just wondering because there are a couple of medical bills showing up on my husband's credit report that are from 2002 and when I checked with the original creditor, which was the ER physicians and the hospital, they said our 2 insurances never paid for some reason. So now I have to go back, contact Blue Cross and Blue Shield AND Aetna and find out what happened, because I cannot find my EOB's anywhere for the dates of service.

Now both are with a C/A and they want to sue him for the balance, which is over $25,000 (he had a heart attack).
