Hi All: I have a question. I bought a car back in 2008 and had a cosigner. Well, life happened and I lost my job and as much as I tried not to, I had to file bankruptchy Chap.7. Well, the car has been discharged/acct. closed on my credit report. I just got back in the workforce and have been making payments to try and catch up. They never call or anything, I am the one making effort to pay. Would they come take the car if I don't pay? Just some advice.

Thanks

this is just from my experiance in the auto loan industry. once an account goes to the bankruptcy department/status they cant call you. if you reafirmed the loan in the bk then they legally cannot repo the vehicle unless you voluntary surrender it. now once your bankrutpcy discharges if your account is still past due they can repo it. so just make sure its current by the time your bankrutpcy discharges and you will be fine.
