I sent a CMRRR Debt validation letter to Gold Key Credit at the address that was listed on my Equifax report. It was returned to me as "Return to sender, unable to forward". I called Gold Key and they said that address has not been used in over 5 years and could I please send a copy of the envelope into them so they could correct the issue. Isn't this a violation? Can I use this to get them to delete the tradeline? Thanks for your responses.

I don't see a violation here. They have a old address listed which hasn't been updated. Send them the letter to their correct address once more.

If they fail to validate the debt, you can then get it deleted.
