IMC Credit servies

We are trying to buy a home so we get our credit ran and find out that IMC credit services had filed a Judgement against my husband for a Dr. bill it says on his Credit that its $256 so I called the court house and with court cost its 347 BUT she says it would be faster to call IMC and pay them, SO I called and she said that there is interrest on this Dr bill and that we owe 465 WOW that blew my mind This happened in Indiana is this allowed???

Just something else to add this Debt happened in Indiana and now we live in KY.. I was just reading something in another post where the collection agencys CAN NOT bother you IF they do not have license to do so in the state that you are in..
