Voluntary Reposession - Anyone settled the deficiency balance?

About 2 years ago I voluntarily gave my car back to the bank as I was unemployed and could no longer afford the large payment. They took the car and sold it at auction and told me that I still owed in excess of $10,000.
I haven't paid any of this balance and it's been over a year. Has anyone ever settled one of these? I figured I would offer them 20 cents on the dollar to start. Any and all help is appreciated!!!!

I did a voluntary repo a year ago and I have not paid one dime on the balance. The finance company calls me once a week but all I say is I have no money. They say they have to at least call me. Ok fine, call me but I still dont have any money.
