Hi

I just got a call from a William Childs stating he works for a law firm of Cigvnate sp . He was yelling at me about a total lending loan . He kept on stating that I refused to pay and did not want to speak to A Mr. Gveney ? he says now that he has verified my address he will sue me in court ? Is this true ? Help
Nikki

I would also get their address and send them a debt validation letter asap. Oh and by law they now have 5 days to send you a dunning letter with the details, since they verified your address. :)

It is against the law for him to represent himself as an attorney or threaten to personally sue you unless he is in fact a lawyer, which I doubt he is.

But regardless, you want to get them under a DV because if they do sue you before validating, that is considered continued collection activity.
