Ok so today a Jim Green left me a message stating that he was a legal investigatior and needed to speak with me immediatly and said that I needed to contact him by 11 am tomorrow and if I didnt he wished me good luck. What? ok first I googled the number he told me to call 904-374-7445, i found many people stated that it was with National Check Processing?. I called the number back to see what the heck was going on and a woman answered, when I asked for the company name she said they were a check processing company but wouldnt go into detail. I told her who had called me and she said Jim left for the day (yeah right he just called whatever) I said well heres the deal I dont know why your calling, but your employee left several illegal things on my voicemail claiming to be an investigator which is False provided no detail as to why he was calling and threatned me by saying good lucK, the woman just said I needed to pay my debt and thats why he called and that I needed to pay. When I never gave her my name how does she know who I am and If I have debt? I seriously cant think of what I may owe I paid off all my Payday loans my car loan is caught up im at a loss and trying not to let their harassing tactics get to me,. Does anyone know if they are a scam? I couldnt get her to give me any info regarding the company I dont really want to waste my time trying to argue withthem over the phone, would it be possible to send a preemptive cease and desist letter, and perhaps a debt verifiction/validation letter? I have a feeling unless I do these things this will only continue and I dont want my employer called since Im sure if they have my cell they have all that, Any advice would be appreciated, i just feel like I finally have almost everything paid off and these bottom feeders show up but wont tell me why

I would speak to this "Jim" long enough to get basic details. Then you can inform him that you have logged his violations to date. (kind of a throw back at them with their 'download your info' and other such drivel). Then inform him that he has five days to send you a letter by law. Tell him then that you will accept no further calls and will happily just hang up on him. You can also inform him that you are to receive NO calls at work and should he violate your rights further, you will also happily add that to the list of current violations and that you will sue his company silly.

I received another phone call from "jim" today and he would give me very little info but said that if I didnt pay $759.00 by today he would be sending the Felony Internet Wire Fraud charge in. I played along a little to see what it was about before calling bs on him being an investigator. and that no "law enforcement" agency would say pay or go to jail. Any way turns out this is from an old PAID IN FULL internet loan I had from Sagamore, which was previously attempted to be collected a few months ago by HZB Financial. I had Faxed HZB all information showing it had been paid and never heard anything now National Check Processing has it, now because "Jim" was threatning me and stating that he had my social security number and had all the power and information I never admited to knowing who Sagamore was because I have a feeling if I give them the info that it had been paid they will just send it to another company like HZB did. Long story short I live in Minnesota and Sagamore is Illegal because they are a not a licensed lender and their payment and fee structure was way higher than MN allows and I way over paid the principle I borrowed dont want a refund just want them to go away. I faxed and certified Mailed National Check Proceesing 1. a debt verification letter and 2. a cease and desist letter advising them they had violated the FDCPA as well and kept the nasty recorded message just in case this actually makes it into a court room. I also filed complaints with the FTC as well as my attorney general and the Florida attorney generals office. I hope thats enough to make them see the light if anyone has delt with this agency any further advice would be helpful but im banking on the fact that the loan was illegal in the first place I more than likely have nothing to worry about but im holding on to all paper work and phone calls just in case. I just hope they dont call my work I did tell them in writting not to but since they like to break the law already im not counting on it. I also want to add that this forum rocks and keep up the good work Im so glad to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and all the wonderful advice on here is great keep up the great work guys!!
