I would find out who this place is and then contact them. Find out all you can without telling them anything personal. then after you get the info you can figure out what to do. If it is BS then you will know.

Call them long enough to get information. You can identify yourself by your name and last four digits of your social. Also confirm your address, because by law they have 5 days to send you a letter with the basic details of the debt. Inform them that now they have your contact information they have 5 days to send you a letter, according to federal law.
Do NOT discuss the debt at all. Tell them that you have the right to be sent a letter. Then hang up. If they call, just tell them, "I am waiting for my letter." then hang up.
Have your parents write down the conversation and make note of the date and time of the call(s). Have them do this every time they call.
IF you get a letter from this company, make sure it has your right to dispute written upon it. By law it must be there.
Check your credit reports to see if the account is listed. If it is, look at it closely and note any discrepancies.
Then you write a strongly worded debt validation letter. Inform them that you dispute the debt and want to see strict proof you owe them anything. Also make note that they violated your rights with third party disclosure and that your parents are ready to sign and notarize affidavits against them should you decide to sue them. Inform them that should they not be able to provide you with proof, then you expect them to close this account and remove it from your credit reports (if it is on there).
To further drive your point home, make sure the letter is sent certified mail return receipt and when you get the receipt you then dispute the account with whatever credit reports it is showing on. When it gets verified, you have them on yet another violation.
Now, if you don't get a letter in 5 days, on day 6 YOU send a letter. It is a debt validation letter asking for proof of the account but you further point out the violations, now third party disclosure and no letter w/i 5 days.
If it comes right down to it, sue them.

Great thanks for all of the help! I just cannot believe that they left information on my parents answering machine telling them that I am going to be served civil court papers in two days if I don't pay this debt and how come they are asking my parents to give them my last four digits of my SS#? Does not make sense to me and it is very scary!

sounds like a bunch of knuckle scrapers trying to scare you into paying.try to get an address if you could.then send this bunch a DV letter certified mail return receipt.just know that if they were gonna serve you papers.they don't need your SS# especially from your parents.a bottomfeeder for sure.
Yes. What Paul said is spot on! This is all about intimidation
Yes. What Paul said is spot on! This is all about intimidation and embarrassment! If they can't get you to pay with intimidating threats like 'serve you papers in two days' then they try to embarrass a payment out of you. It is wrong and illegal to boot. I would whap them several times with the violations stick and sue the pants off them if they keep up this BS.
