SRA bill collector contact me, what should I do?

Hi, I really need your help!!. A collector from SRA called me, two days ago. I called back and spoke to one of the Representative, she stated that I owned x amount of money to BOA, and that they hired them to collect the debt. I explain to her that I been unemployed for a whiled, also I agreed to the debt and I am willing to pay it. My problem with them is that the options they have to pay off or settle are not reasonable.
My question is: What should I do? and can I still send a DV the CMRRR?
please help me :-(

When you agree to the debt, sending DV would be redundant. Howev
When you agree to the debt, sending DV would be redundant. However, I would have preferred to have all communication in writing from the collection agency.
If you don't find the settlement proposal reasonable, you can always negotiate further. You're not required to accept the fist offer they make.
