My husband had a credit card with Credit One Bank. We made payments for 2 years. My husband lost his job and had medical problems. I stopped making payments due to only 1 income. I rec'd a letter stating that LVNV was taking over this co. I started gettting phone calls from Nelson, Watson and Assoc. I called them to start making payments. They told me about a ECH hardship program, asked me for my financial info.and all my monthly obligations. He put me on hold and came back on and told me several red flags showed and asked me if I volintarilly wanted to pay this debt. I told him I could only pay $25.oo per month starting May 30. The want me to pay $180.00 per month or do a settlement amount of which I do not have! The want me to pay them $180.00 by May 29, if not they are going through with legal action, asking me if I have ever been sued or had leins on my property. I have been very stressed for 1 1/2 years now and I certainly do not need this. If I am trying to pay something until we get on our feet, can't they just accept it? What are my rights? They also told me to get deferrments on my cars, house. I have tried in the past and have been unsuccessful. They are also calling my family 5-6 time a day telling them they need an immediate response!HELP!!!!!!! I have to call them back by 2:00 p.m. today with an answer.

If you have been talking with them on a daily basis, I would sent a cease and desist order due to FDCPA violations for calling your family. If they have your phone they should not be calling or disclosing the debt to anyone.
