Disputing Gambling Charges

I have some large debt on my AMEX due to internet gambling. After reading posts here I was wondering what would be the result of saying to AMEX that all of these charges are not authorized and not to pay them? We are talking 20K here. The gambling site does have a photocopy of my AMEX and drivers license..so thinking I cant go this route. Just trying to dig out of the hole I created for myself.

If you actually incurred the debt it is a VERY bad idea to say the debts weren't authorized. it's a form of fraud. Scary, but true.
