This website has been very helpful for me. I really appreciate everyone who helps! I do have a question. I had received numerous payday loans about 1-2 years ago. I was not able to pay them back since a couple company's actually posted the money into the account. More than what I can pay. A lot actual I never really approved, I would leave the website before finalizing. However I understand I used the money and I want to pay I just can't right now. My question is if it is illegal in Florida to have more than one pdl how can I approach the CA? For example one company called and said they were taking me to court said I owed 1908.00, said he was an attorney James Reed (never had any court info sent). I have never seen a letter from them telling me I owe this money. If I send them money should I follow the amount Florida advises is legal? I believe the original amount was $200 (I dont' recall the pdl). Any assistance would be great.

You should not send money to anyone you are not 100% sure you owe money too. You should first send the CA validation and verification letters via fax or certified mail. If they respond they should send you a copy of the assignment from the original creditor, a list of the payments you have already made to the original creditor, and a copy of the original agreement.
If they refuse to validate the debt don't pay them and send them a cease and desist letter if they continue to contact you.
I believe that if Florida only allows you to take out 1 payday loan at a time, the first loan that is from a licensed lender would be the first loan and the other loans are considered illegal.
