What happens if you are being sued by a creditor, you recieve a summons but don't show up in court?
You will get a judgement against you by default that will remain
You will get a judgement against you by default that will remain on your credit history for at least 7 years! Not a good idea! They could garnish your salary or put a lien on any property current or future and more! Show up and work out a plan with them if it is not too late.
In some states you could be charged with contempt of court and forced to produce bail. Sometimes in the amount of the debt! Read the story on MSN today!
