someone came to my door

Some guy came up to my door saying he was from the court, i wasnt home so my parents told them i moved out and i called the guy and he wanted to meet somewhere. I have no charges, never been in trouble could this be someone trying to collect money for unpaid debt?

what state are you in?i would check with your court clerk to see if anything was filed.if not call the police immediately.some states call for a person to be served in person.however this sounds suspicous to me.find out from your court clerk before proceeding.
