I've had an account with Jefferson (aka Midland Credit aka myemblemcard) for a few months now. I've read a lot of rip off reports but for me my old Chase CC debt was legitimate and within the SOL. - I decided to do the fresh start program because at the time, it was the only way I could have credit opened to me. They took a really long time to process my payments and remove the Midland Credit debt from my credit reports (which was done through Midland via my initiation, not automatically as Jefferson suggested). - Though the timeline was rather slow, I do now have the Jefferson Capital Emblem card and it does report monthly to all 3 credit bureaus so it's helping alot. - If you're not in the situation I was in, I would suggest speaking to your original creditor, you may be able to settle for a lesser amount. If you're in an extremely poor credit situation like I was, you may want to give it a try.
