Starting to hate my own phone

Yesterday, the phone rang and my g/f picked up and there was a robo person that said "if you would like to take this call press 1, She pressed 1 waited a bit then can here someone picked up the line. The woman asked is XXXX there? She said no I am sorry he is not home. The woman the continued and said Can you please have him call Attorney Howard Lee Shiff at whatever the phone number was. She said I will do that. Click.
On the caller ID the number was from "privacy manager".
This attorney consistantly calls leaving messages, This call is for XXXXX, if you are not XXXX please hang up. If you continue to hold you are XXXXX then continues on to say this is an attempt to collect a debt, anything you say can be used for that purpose. Then please call Attorney Howard Lee Schiff.
Now if nobody is home to answer the call how can you hang up if you are not XXXX and when I get my voice mail I have to hear the whole message before I can delete it. So when my g/f gets those calls doesn't that violate contacting a third party rule? she lives with me.
This is just really annoying, I am currently being sued by this attorney. He keeps trying to make settlements and I have nothing to settle with him until the court decides the case.
Please give me some feedback if this attorney may be violating any laws. Thanks in advance!!!!
