Nor sure where to post this question, so I'll ask it here. Why don't creditors just sue you? Let's say you go 6 months without making a payment, why doesn't the creditor just get a judgement against you? Then garnish your wages? It's not like you can dispute owing the debt, you were paying it 6 months ago?

It costs more for the creditors to sue in terms of manpower hours and the costs of collections. Attorneys have to be hired, and they pay more the recovery that way.
