as it turns out they are collection from a payday lender. i got enuf on my plate right now paying off these last 2 credit cards so right now i aint even giving them the time of day . but what i was reading about this col

Do not send them anything except a C&D and debt validation letter. You won't get one back. They called and harrassed me over a debt that didnt exist for about 4 weeks. I filed complaints with my AG's office, the AG in Gerogia, the FTC and the police department. If you want to know about them look up 800-781-3445 on 800notes. Tons of info there.
Recently they've also started using new numbers and have disconnected their 800-781-3445 number. if that's not a red flag I dont know what is.

This company is NOT a valid company. This company calls people claiming they have sort of a debt with the company. The debt they have is not a true debt. They contacted me on September 9, saying I had written a check back in 2005 and needed to collect money on it. I wrote a check, BUT didn't have any problems clearing the check. DO NOT give them any of your bank information or personal information. If they call you contact the state of Georgia Attorney Generals office, as well as your state Attorney Generals office!!

Although now it looks like our 'debt' has moved to something called "Group Genesis & Associates" IT seems they use the same Tactics and are owned by an actual attorney. If they call you I'd file complaints to the GA State Bar Asscn ASAP.
