Okay, today in the US Postal, I received a collection letter from the above mentioned. They indicated in the letter that I owe Credit One so much money and "at this time, no attorney with this firm has personally reviewed the particular circumstances of your account". An hour later, I am served a summons from the sheriff of an "Praecipe to reinstate complaint - civil action" against me. How can they send me a collection letter and a summons on the same day. There is no court date but I have "20 days after the complaint and notice are served by entering a written appearance personally or by attorney and filing in writing with the court your defense or objections to the claims set fourth" What exactly does that mean?
