I have an outstanding balance with Pallisades Collection LLC, however First National Collection Bureau notified me that I could close out my balance with Pallisades through them if I pay in full with them, which I did. I have an account number as well as a confirmation number. I have officially paid my debt in full on 9/16/2010, they never sent me documentation through mail stating I have "paid in full". It is now 3 months later and I have asked them to send me a statement of "paid in full" yet again, so that I may show this to my Mortgage Lender. Is there any legal steps I can take into receiving my confirmation sooner?

Before paying the collection agency, you should have confirmed with your lender whether or not they have charged off the account. Unless your account is charged off, the collection agency can't contact you for the payments. As you've already paid off the dues, you should keep in touch with them on a regular basis and ask them to provide you with proper documentation asap.

Are you really sure that your account was charged-off? You should have found that at first. Anyway, now that you have already paid off the money, ask the collection agency to send you a statement with "Paid in Full" written on it. You can also contact a lawyer and know his opinion about this issue.
