dad ruined my credit

My son's dad used his name and social for 15 years and wants to go back to his name because he owes a lot of money to people, he had a he had a state id with sons name and social and the DOB of my son is 10-06-81 he had 10-06-60 so name would match scocial, he even got tickets in my sons name back in 97. what can i do ?:x:-(:mad:


You may need a lawyer for this. This can and more than likely will cause problems legally for them both, those creditors may and will come after your son for the debts owed and he more than likely will be sued for them. He will have to file a ID theft report or he will be legally responsible for all this and its not fair to him to start his life with ruined credit. Hate to say it but the father needs to held legally liable for this and your son may need to prosecute and sue his father and if you had knowledge and allowed it to happen you could be held legally responsible also. You really need a lawyer for this issue.

I agree with soaplady!!! You need to file a police report......your son's father is ruining your son's life! Having bad credit aside, you mention that he got tickets...if they are not paid a warrant for his arrest could be issued not to mention he would have problems even getting a drivers license.

You need to do something about this immediately.
